ABSTRACT. -- One hundred fifty-three adult specimens (73 males and 80 females) of the Mexican ground squirrel, Spermophilus mexicanus, from the eastern part of the Edwards Plateau in Texas were analyzed to ascertain differences in size related to age and sex. Variation in cranial dimensions was found to be dependent on age, and was highly affected by sex.
